What a Wonderful Way to Open the Year!

We’ve had a wonderful opening to the school year filled with traditions and community spirit!

  • Flag Raising: On Opening Day, our 5th-grade students passed the honor of raising the flag each morning to our new 4th graders. The entire school gathered together around the flag for this momentous occasion.

  • Convocation: Our 8th-grade students led a meaningful program welcoming everyone back to MDS and challenged us all to “make the ordinary extraordinary.”

  • Campus Clean-Up: A huge thank you to all who came out to help beautify our campus. Mulch was spread, windows were cleaned, weeds trimmed, and trees cut back. Many hands truly made light work, and it was a wonderful example of our school community in action.
