They’re Off to Great Places!
This week has been a time of celebration! We are so proud of the many accomplishments of our 8th-grade students. We had the opportunity to honor them as over one hundred fifty friends and families gathered on Sunday to support these phenomenal students at their official graduation ceremony. The students shared reflections about their years at Morganton Day School that included being risk takers as they gave presentations, created projects, and tried new things within our community and globally. They spoke of the support they received as they faced challenges and the friendships they have made. All had many memories to share! The students expressed their hopes and goals as they matriculate into the exciting next chapter of high school. We know the future is incredibly bright for these knowledgeable, principled, caring students!
Congratulations, MDS Class of 2025!
We were also privileged to welcome back to campus the 8th Grade class of 2021, who are graduating from High School this week. They walked the halls of their "old stomping grounds" to the applause and jubilant cheers of our current MDS students and faculty. After parading throughout the building, we asked the alumni to share their favorite memory, future plans, and one important thing they learned during their time at MDS that was most helpful in high school. Their stories of success warmed our hearts and are truly worth celebrating. From engineering to theater to dreams of Wall Street and everything in between, our students are off to great places!
