Middle School Math

As the Middle School Math Teacher at MDS, I bring a diverse STEM background with experience teaching science-based mathematics as well as biology, chemistry, physics, and community agriculture. I earned a B.S. in Biology from East Tennessee State University and enjoy using my interdisciplinary background to design experiential, inquiry-driven math lessons that align with the IB philosophy. I also have a long-standing connection to MDS as a parent of two children, one in JK 4 and the other in 2nd grade. Outside the classroom, I enjoy gardening, hiking, and identifying wildflowers.
