As a 2nd generation alumni of Morganton Day School, I have long been inspired by our school's dedication to developing well-rounded international citizens and open-minded learners. In my position as middle school ELA teacher (and as a parent to a current MDS student) I am consistently delighted by our community's dedication to supporting and encouraging one another!

In my spare time, I enjoy writing, reading, and going on adventures with my son.

I received my B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing from Appalachian State University and my Master’s in English Literature from Western Carolina University where I taught freshman and sophomore writing courses.
