Fourth Grade
Athri Ranganathan
4th Grade
As a lifelong student, I am overjoyed to join the Morganton Day School community as 4th Grade Teacher.
I am a classically trained violinist and learned music through diligent daily practice that brought me to perform under the baton of Boston Pops conductor Keith Lockhart and North Carolina Symphony Music Director Grant Llewellyn. My most cherished educational memory was performing at the Brevard Music Festival in Brevard, North Carolina. My music education informs every facet of my learning and teaching practice. I am passionate about the education of young people and igniting in them the fire to learn.
My work experience as a middle school teacher in public schools and a researcher in Metro Nashville Public Schools has informed my approach to teaching. I believe in the power of students, teachers, and parents working together to provide an enriching education for all students.
My degree qualifications include an undergraduate emphasis in education studies and a graduate degree in education policy.
Thank you for having me as your students’ fourth-grade teacher.
