Middle School teacher

Morganton Day School is seeking a full-time Middle School Language Arts  and Social Studies teacher.  In addition to daily classroom instruction, responsibilities include serving as an advisor to students, supporting STEAM class and facilitating a range of elective classes based on student interests.

This position will begin in August 2019.

K-8 PE teacher

Morganton Day School seeks a part-time elementary PE teacher to instruct students in grades Kindergarten to 8th grade. As part of the MDS staff, the PE teacher will have the opportunity to integrate physical education and healthful living into the IB global curriculum.  Along with teaching responsibilities, this position is responsible for the coordination of the school athletics program.

This position will begin in August 2019.

K-8 Visual Art Teacher

Morganton Day School seeks a part-time elementary art teacher to instruct students in grades Kindergarten to 8th grade. As part of the MDS staff, the art teacher will have the opportunity to integrate art into the IB global curriculum.  The Art Teacher will be responsible for cultivating an interest in creative expression. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and skills in art, including clay, drawing, painting, design, art history, and three-dimensional art. Additionally, the teacher is responsible for the annual art show of students’ work for the school and the larger community.

This position will begin in August 2019.

Morganton Day School is interested in candidates who are passionate about life-long learning and will support the inquiry learning and the positive culture of our school.
