Teacher: Elizabeth O’Hagan

Curriculum Description:

The First Grade classroom is a place where you will find children who are confident, curious, and independent.  There is a daily focus on caring and respect for one another, our classroom, and school.  The children learn from one another and  share their strengths, talents, and skills. Through systematic, explicit literacy instruction, children learn to read and write with confidence. Questions are encouraged as we explore new concepts and curriculum through our Units of  Inquiry.  Students learn the characteristics necessary to be  excellent students and what it means to be a global learner.  We have fun as we learn in First Grade!
